Misschien wordt het toch nog spannend in de race om het Amerikaanse presidentschap. Gisteren kondigde Barbie haar kandidatuur aan en begin mei duidt de Libertarian Party haar vaandeldrager aan. Het zou bijvoorbeeld Sam Sloan, alias Haji Mohammed Ismail Sloan (prentje), kunnen worden. Voorlopig niet zo gekend, maar zijn bio op wikipedia belooft alleszins veel goeds. Volgens wikipedia blijkt hij ook nog eens in alle mogelijke denksporten uit te blinken: He claims to have traveled to 78 countries, primarily attending chess tournaments. He has claimed to have won the World Championship of Chinese Chess in Beijing, China, in 1988. He is rated an FM (equivalent to FIDE Master) by the World Xiangqi (Chinese Chess) Association. Sloan has competed in tournaments in Thai (Makrook) and Japanese (Shogi) chess. He also won the Silver Medal in Senior Division (of two entries) at the World Memory Championship in Guangzhou, China.
